Meet the Teachers
Amy came to yoga later in life when, at the time a self-confessed 'gym rat', found herself in physical therapy due to a lack of stretching. It was on her PT’s recommendation that she try yoga. She'd also struggled at that point for years with severe anxiety and panic attacks. The more she practiced asana(movement), breath work(Pranayama), and Meditation the more centered, peaceful, and content she felt and the anxiety and panic attacks all but completely disappeared. She began to feel it was her calling to guide; hoping to help others to find the peace and physical well being this beautiful thing called yoga, in all its aspects, has brought her. Amy guides all ages, all levels of physical and emotional abilities; believing if one can breathe one can 'do' yoga. Amy is Yoga Alliance registered and is currently E-200hr, Yoga Therapy for Children with Autism and Special Needs, Yin, Child Yoga, Guided Meditation, and Reiki 3rd Degree certified.

Welcome to my class bio page! My name is Katrina; I am a RYTT 200 hour Certified yoga instructor ready to serve as your guide. My teaching styles offer a physically meditative blend of spirit and intellect. Playing close to my roots, we often flow to reggae music, and high spirits. My personal yoga Philosophy is a limb.to.limb approach - that is - using yoga as a tool to help us connect to our humanity throughout our day to day lives.I deeply encourage play, and breathwork with my students, as there are tremendously metamorphic qualities to being in a space where you feel comfortable enough to let loose, be yourself, and breathe. If you’re looking for a yoga class to help you move with the flow, then you’ve come to the right place!
There are so many people overflowing with love and support that continue to help me along my path, and to them, I connect my deepest gratitude. To every student, who without a doubt brings so much light and life into my practice with a quality no one could ever duplicate, thank you. You are everchanging, everpresent and everpure. I look forward to witnessing your yoga practice develop.
My name is Mercedes Gomez. I am really excited about connecting with you.
I have been practicing yoga since 2013 and got my certification in 2017. I was introduced to yoga while working for Mount Sinai Medical Center. I participated in their Employee Health program and Yoga turned into my saving grace during some challenging times. From then on, I have been passionately learning and deepening my understanding of yoga to generate improvements in my life and use that experience to assist those around me. I have experience teaching breathing techniques and meditation, kids yoga (ages 3 though 10), yoga in Spanish, and practicing Ashtanga Yoga Method. I am also certified in Usui Reiki Levels 1 & 2.
I believe we have the power within us to heal and answer our most burning questions, we just need to be willing to listen. Yoga, journaling, dancing and spending time in nature are a few of the tools I use to cut through the noise of daily distractions. I encourage students to experiment and find the best tools for them.
